Leah Ilan is the owner of Sign Language Services, Inc. and Caption Now. She has a Master of Arts degree in Human Development as well as credentials in education. Leah has worked in the field of providing services since 1975 and has extensive experience as an ASL and Oral interpreter. She has also worked with Deaf/Hard of Hearing grade school students on social and emotional learning skills through a nonprofit she established for over 10 years.
Leah started Sign Language Services, Inc. in 1990 to address the needs of communication access to Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals. In 1998 CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) services were added. This expanded Sign Language Services to include Caption Now. Caption Now was added to further accommodate the wide range and growing needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals.
SLS, INC./CAPTION NOW has been providing services for over 30 years. Services have been provided for public and private schools, including K-12, trade schools, colleges and universities in the Southern California area. Services have also been provided for medical appointments, workers compensation hearings/meetings, trainings, special events, conferences/conventions, city council meetings, employment interviews, trainings and more.
